About The Friends of Bedgebury
The Friends are proud to support the work of the Forestry Commission at the National Pinetum Bedgebury. This partnership has helped to make us the leading outdoor visitor attraction in the South East and to create an internationally renowned conifer collection, which is the most complete in the world.
Bedgebury balances the tranquility and beauty of the Pinetum with exciting children's play areas, mountain biking for all levels of ability and tree top adventure with Go Ape.
You can help our work in several ways by:
- Joining the Friends - Great value if you're a regular visitor with many additional benefits
- Buying a gift membership for a friend or family member
- Becoming a volunteer
- Sponsoring a tree for life (currently under review)
- Making a donation
- Leaving us a legacy

Communication with our members:
With the cost of postage continuing to rise, it is important that we continue to seek new and more
cost effective means of communication with our membership.
Future editions of the Journal will therefore be issued by e-mail to our members. It will also be
available to download from the volunteering section on this website.
If you would still prefer to receive a paper version, please just pop into the Friends office at the Visitor
Centre and collect a copy of the current edition.
If you do not receive an e-mail copy of the Journal from us, it is because we do not hold your current
e-mail address. If this is the case, please contact us on 01580 879842 to ensure that we are able to
contact you about your membership and events and activities here in Bedgebury in the future.
Thank you for continuing to support the important environmental, educational and conservation work
undertaken in the National Pinetum. As a valued member of the Friends you can also support this
work by attending events, volunteering in the Pinetum or by becoming a Trustee.
