NATIONAL NEST BOX WEEK AT BEDGEBURY

Join us at Bedgebury and be part of the British Trust for
Ornithology’s national event. What bird feed, which garden
feeder, what pair of binoculars? Questions, questions! All will
be revealed along with an opportunity for a brief bird watching
session. And of course building your own bird box.

British Cycling Go Ride programmes
For 11 – 16 year olds 10th-12th April
British Cycling will be running a 3 day event teaching some
of the finer skills of cycling. Age 10+ and the cost will be £5
per day.

Explore the underwater world of Bedgebury and discover beetles,
dragonflies & leeches.
NATIONAL INSECT WEEK AT BEDGEBURY

In the darker corners, under logs and leaves live the little
creatures of Bedgebury Forest - join us on a bug hunt to find
and identify them.

An arty encounter with that elusive figure of woodland
mythology.

SUMMER MAPSTICKS TRAIL

From Giant Redwoods to Grand Firs this event will take you on a
trail through the National Pinetum to discover trees using the
native North American mapstick.
SEED GATHERING SUNDAY

Sunday 7 October 11.30am. – 12.30pm. & 1.30 – 2.30pm. Family event

This is an opportunity for you to join in the Tree Council’s
national event here at Bedgebury. A seed collecting walk will be
followed by a potting up session.
THE BIG DRAW 2007 AT BEDGEBURY

Tuesday 23 October 10.30am. – 4.30pm. All ages free
UK’s biggest free art event with over million people getting
back to the drawing board. Turn up and be part of Bedgebury’s
contribution to this national sensation.
The BIG DRAW takes place in October at more than 1,000 venues
nationwide so join in the fun and make an artist’s impression by
being part of the free Big Draw event being held during half
term week at Bedgebury National Pinetum.
“The Big Draw is the UK’s biggest annual free art event”, says
Bedgebury’s Education Manager Cath Armstrong. “We hope people of
all ages will come and have fun while discovering the pleasure
and power of drawing as well as the magic of Bedgebury National
Pinetum. Using the free materials provided you don’t need any
previous experience to come and express your thoughts on paper.
